Contemplation: Only A Mystic Activity?
It is said that good religions were encouraged with a "mystic" who had achieved enlightenment. This will also apply to Jesus and Christianity, Gautama the Buddha and Buddhism, Lao Tzu and Taoism, Shiva and Hinduism and so many others. However the mystic's profound influence declines considerably since the teaching becomes "organized" in to a religion, and control and rigidity slip in to the group's hierarchy.
In comparison, mystics and "seekers" strive to combine with God on your own level. The desire to commune immediately with the Inventor without requirement for a minister, imam, priest or rabbi is an important quality defining mystics and mysticism.Examples of mystical traditions include: Sufism (common in Muslim cultures), the Yogic tradition (Indian and Hindu cultures), Christian mysticism (Christianity), Taoism (China), Kabbalah and Hasidism (Judaism), Zen Buddhism (Buddhism).
It's fascinating to note that, all through history, different mystical traditions have exhibited several frequent characteristics. This is because, as you practices a mystical convention and reaches particular contact with the Divine, there are frequent truths which can be discovered. To many persons, this independent evolution of popular truths in diverse mystical traditions through various areas of the world, suggests a heavy supply of wisdom, fueled by our Heavenly Creator.
All that exists in the bodily world is actually one entity. It's been generally established by the world's physicists. The illusion that we are separate from the others, from plants and creatures, from inanimate the christ items, is just that, an illusion.
To extend that more, all that exists is just a percentage of God/of our Creator. It's been tenderly indicated by Hafiz, a distinguished Sufi poet of 14th century Persia:
"Because there is nothing besides God's body, I take to to exhibit reverence for several things."
Individuals are Divine beings, who will finally express that divinity inside their earthly lives, or at the conclusion of these physical existence. That God-presence exists within us. As Jesus has claimed, "Rather, the Kingdom is inside you, and it's outside you... When you come to learn yourselves... you will realize it is you who're the sons of the residing father" (Gospel of Thomas).
