A movie becoming a hit or fail can't be the only guideline to declare its worthiness. The right approach could be judging by its content and the narration type, I mean the software and the screenplay. Without these, the intent behind creating a movie would not be effectively served. More than two hundred shows get introduced annually and their quality:sum ratio doesn't search very convincing. Nothing could have dreamed that we could be supplying such average movies when compared to the black and bright period.
With the collapse of the stories from the Shivaji Ganesan time, Tamil cinema has moved concentration from software oriented films to revenue making films with some exceptions. In the 60s and 70s, the films applied to really have a powerful script and we will see stars emoting with passion and it is like viewing ourselves on the screen. This really is missing in today's films. Possibly we get influenced from the Hollywood movie (or even Korean movies) or remake from other languages but never inspire persons all over the world to follow us. Actually Krithi Shetty the name Kollywood (a word which will be not even in the dictionary) is encouraged from the west. We however enjoy our Tamil films, thanks to the restricted experience of Hollywood.
Today Tamil cinema is in a mould with a predefined design that identifies the mandatory number of songs, fights, comedy, love and belief in a movie. And we contact it the "perfect mix" for a blockbuster. Obviously, the actors too found myself in this mould, which becomes a secure bet for hits. Therefore the administrators stopped seeking and got along using what the market wanted. In Kollywood, each actor is associated with specific forms of roles. There are bulk heroes, romantic types, activity kings and so on.
Thus, an actor is repeatedly forced to chose a function relating with their fan's expectations. Our actors are very talented. They're, much better than people criticizing them, but it's the hope of these supporters, that prevents them from seeking various characters. Therefore whom do we blame? fans? personalities? directors? I'd say every one, in exactly the same order. A video must be regular at the initial place. If it is a humor movie, then it be described as a complete comedy treat. If it is a thriller, it must be jam packed with turns and thrills. I do not understand the need of a intimate track in a thriller movie or fight moments in humor flicks. No more unnecessary tracks until the problem requirements one, and on the whole, we do not desire to see 2 time 40 moment films anymore. That template based movie idea has to change.
